Highwind Jump by MakoRedEyes Highwind Jump by MakoRedEyes
I'm really proud of this... Like seriously, steal it and die. :| I think I did about four versions of this, but this is my favorite... ^_^ I kinda wanted to design it as a stationary or watermark... It could be faded and used so pretty easily... anyway, more Cid Highwind artwork ^_^

Very cool. It almost looks like it was scratched into textured paint. Kudos for doing it so well.

Newly signed up to the place, but this is an old favourite of mine. Seriously, this is a totally kick ass piece of Cid artwork. You should be proud of it, it makes me drool everytime I see it.

What I like best about it is that it's like in the style you see on the mail title, say if Cid had his own game (alternate universe) this would totally be suitable.

I love this piece to bits. Actually I think you've made a lot of things I like, gonna have to go look see.

Keep up the great Cid stuff!!! :D

Cid, and flying, are my favorite obessions. The steady flow of fanart, and sometimes fanfiction, will likely never cease :)

I did several versions of this picture and I can't actually remember what version I actually put on this website.. but thanks! ^_^ lol (is caffeine and sleep deprived)

...So I'm not the only one not so secretly pining for a Cid game? *grins*

^_^ This was the result of me tuning my psychology teacher out and doodling on binder paper I was /supposed/ to be taking notes on... probably one of my favorites, though. ^_^ glad you like it.

Hee hee hee!! You take Psychology, too? I just started that this semester. Gawd that class is boring!! Lol! But yeah, I tune out my teacher sometimes, too. Only I write poems or stories rather than draw.

I took general Psychology last fall, and Gender Psych. last semester. Gender Psych is really interesting, but my teacher was a complete bitch. It is VERY RARE that I wish death upon a teacher...this one was one of the exceptions...O_o I gave up on psychology this year, and am taking aeronautics classes and meterology. (they're MUCH nicer. ^_^)
your avatar warms my heart. ^_^

Aeronautics? That's awesome! So you like my avatar? I take it you like to fly. So do I. My husband is a pilot - me, I'm learning to fly. Btw, what are you majoring in?

Honestly, the last time I was in an airplane, I was too young to really remember it, but I saw a local air show from a parking lot near the airport last year (I'm going to said show tomorrow to get more up close and personal. They're going to have one of the two existing flying wing airplanes there, I'm really excited) and was so awed by even the little I saw that last winter I took ground school (they're offering it at my school)...I passed the knowledge test/final by a point and a half, and decided I better take it again, so I'm back to square one. I'm taking aviation meterology as well as general meterology as well, and while I haven't chosen a major yet, I'm really beginning to consider aviation/aeronautics. I've gone, in a week, from following a whim of just getting my private pilot's license, to possibly choosing a career. kind of exciting. ^_^
oops...babble babble...you got me excited, lol. :)

AWESOME!!!!!! I happend to get lucky and married a Certified Flight Instructor! OMFG!! This is so cool! I had started flying lessons before I got married because ever since I was 10 I wanted to learn to fly, but when I moved out of my parents house and in with my husband, I had to stop! >.< I still fly when my hubby and I go up, and I carry my logbook with me to log time still, but once I graduate college the first thing I am going to do is finish what I started!!

Learning to fly is the coolest thing, but it can be kind of hard, too. You have to learn the basic manuevers of the airplane (which isn't hard if you don't mind steep turns), stall recovery, and practice simulated engine failures (basically what to do should you have an emergency). Plus you have to learn to calculate how much fuel you'll use when you get into the cross country part of the lessons, how to track VORs and basic instrument flying procedures if you should happen to get caught inside a cloud. It takes a lot of time and financial dedication, not to mention that you have to pass a written exam (which costs $75 to take), an oral exam with an FAA designated examiner and the actual checkride. Our examiner here charges, I think, $200 for the checkride. And of course you have rental fees and instructor fees. I think my husband said that with everything factored in, it costs a total of $3000-$4000 to recieve your license for most people. Its a lot, but it is sooooo worth it!!!

Sorry....You got me excited too!!!!

Yeah...I'm not too afraid of the turns, stalls and stuff. Weight and balance I got figured out...take off and landing distance/maximum efficiency stuff... @_@ ai jeez... I'm actually taking ground school for the second time, so I've kind of been over all of it before, thank goodness. I think I'm a little more serious about it this semester, too. Last time, I was just kind of dabbling out of curiosity, and the prospect of a neat hobby.
Only 3-4K? I live in the 'wine country' of California, and EVERYTHING costs more here. I'm looking more at $6,000 + just to be a private pilot. >.<
Hello FAA scolarships. lol.
